About Bladder Cancer
According to the National Cancer Institute, bladder cancer is the fourth most common cancer in men in the United States and the eighth most common cancer in women. It is estimated that 67,160 new cases will be diagnosed in 2007.1
Bladder cancer does not tend to run in families.3 However, smokers are more than twice as likely to get bladder cancer as nonsmokers. In addition, industrial chemicals found in dyes, rubber, leathers, textiles, and paint have been linked to bladder cancer.3
